For over 20 years, the LandKunstLeben e.V. association has been promoting socio-cultural and ecological diversity as well as contemporary art in rural areas. Since 2001, the Steinhöfel Garden has served as a meeting place, event venue, and ecological show garden, hosting the cultivation of old and rare varieties, outdoor cooking classes, seasonal festivals, and numerous workshops. Since 2023, a new spatial base has been created with members of the association, artists, gardeners, volunteers, and cooperation partners from neighboring villages: a KPG (cultural production community).

In 2018, the Haus des Wandels e.V. association purchased the vacant vocational school with boarding facilities and has been breathing new life into the huge building ever since. The project group takes a practical approach and develops the project according to principles of solidarity. The location sees itself as part of ecological and social cycles. The practice is grounded in feminist relationships, utopian hospitality, intersectional analysis, transformative actions, artistic strategies, structurally sustainable infrastructures, and anti-authoritarian forms of organization.

Since 2018, a group of over 25 adults, children, and many helpers have been working to breathe new life into the old Neuendorf im Sande estate and create new spaces. The estate already offers space for around 60 people. Concerts and communal meals are held regularly. As part of the group, the Lawine farmers' collective cultivates the 16 hectares of land in the form of community-supported agriculture. Since 2018, the association Geschichte hat Zukunft – Neuendorf im Sande e.V. (History Has a Future – Neuendorf im Sande) has been working to research and document the history of the estate and make it accessible to the public on site.

The agricultures school (collective experiments) combines artistic approaches, radical pedagogy and agricultural practices and philosophies. It is based on the history of the Neuendorf estate and its life today as a solidary space of agriculture and togetherness that enables a reappraisal of historical events in our time. Two workshop weekends with talks, performances, readings, cooking and working together will combine agricultural knowledge and experimental forms of learning through art.
The Agricultures School (kollektive Experimente) is a collaboration between Zusammen in Neuendorf – S.A.N.D.E. e.V. and District*School Without Center, conceived and organised by Åsa Sonjasdotter (artist, researcher and member of ABL), Kaya Thomas (farmer and member of ABL and ELAN), LAWINE (agricultural collective) and Suza Husse (curator, member of District*School Without Center e.V.).
The Oya also takes place at the Haus des Wandels. In keeping with this year's theme of administration, we will spend a day exploring the interrelationship between commons, art, and bureaucracy in various formats.
Oya is a collective storyteller. In turbulent times, she collects stories of collaborative, resistant, subsistence-based, and nurturing ways of life on one Earth in her bag. Oya weaves together life-affirming places, projects, and practices—egalitarian, self-organized, attentive, and always asking deeper questions. In various forms—from printed quarterly letters and an almanac that accompanies the year, to audio pieces and personal gatherings at action weeks or storytelling salons—Oya nurtures patterns of co-creation.
